Most of the artwork available on Cographica began life as original film negatives, carefully digitised to preserve the integrity of the original and bring out every tonal detail.

Our black and white prints are produced on genuine ILFORD silver halide photographic paper, using traditional wet processing and developed in ILFORD chemicals with individual development times, giving exceptional tonal range and archival longevity.

Colour photographs are produced as digital C-Type prints on FUJIFILM professional paper for vibrant, accurate reproduction.

Every image is printed in the UK by skilled technicians who understand fine art photography.

All our black and white prints are made on traditional darkroom paper from ILFORD.

This process produces deep blacks, clean whites, and rich mid-tones, with none of the colour casts sometimes seen in B&W prints made from colour processes.

The subtle lustre finish adds depth and protects against fingerprints, ensuring every print looks great straight from the pack.

Each photograph is part of a limited edition of 100 prints, plus one Artist’s Proof (AP).

Once an edition sells out, no further prints will ever be made in that size or format, ensuring lasting value for collectors.

Every print is individually numbered by hand using archival ink for authenticity.

Every fine art print (unless produced from an artist’s estate) is hand-signed directly beneath the image by the photographer.

We never use printed or sticker signatures because adhesive stickers can deteriorate or damage the paper over time and they remove the personal connection between artist and artwork.

A hand signature ensures each piece remains a genuine collector’s item.

We aim to dispatch all limited edition prints within 10 days of order, though please allow a little extra time for hand-signing.

Each print is flat-packed in strong, protective cardboard and enclosed within an acid-free archival sleeve to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
